With a heart for their community, a group of friends formed the Cattlemen for Cancer Research Committee in 1999 to fight cancer in their own backyard. In the past 10 years, CCR has raised more than $1,100,000 to support research programs of M.D. Anderson's Michale E. Keeling Center for Comparative Medicine and Research. In addition a separate dedicated fund has provided more than $170,000 to help cancer patients and their families from Williamson, Travis, Lee, Bastrop, and Hays counties who need financial assistance with lodging, meals, and transportation expenses in Houston receiving care. In the spirit of neighbor helping neighbor, the CCR invites you to join in the fight against cancer. Upcoming events....March 27, 2010 Western Gala S.P.J.S.T.
